About Eva

I was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and it was there that I met Steve in the early 1980s. Travelling, discovering new places and cultures are major passions of mine. I grew up with my father's stories of his adventures travelling round the world (he spent twenty years in the merchant navy) and these stories instilled an early longing to do exactly that. Like my father, I am now very privileged to have circumnavigated our beautiful planet. I have visited more than seventy countries and territories so far - with many more to come I hope!
I worked in the private corporate world in Sweden and England for twenty years until I moved to Sabah, East Malaysia in 2005. Since then I have been able to explore and develop my artistic skills and in 2012 I became an indie writer/publisher when my first novel The Hawksley Pearls was published.

About Steve

I was born in Sale, Cheshire, in England. Like Eva, I love travelling and exploring the world and have been fortunate enough to live in Iran, Germany (for a short time), Sweden (where I met Eva), Papua New Guinea, Sabah in East Malaysia and now Bonaire since November 2013.
My main hobby is amateur radio. I have held an amateur radio transmitting licence since I was at high school and, as a result of living in different countries and my passion for travelling, have operated from over 40 countries and territories around the world.

I have also been able to incorporate my interest in amateur radio in my professional career.
For 10 years, between 1995 and 2005, I was a staff member of the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB). During this period I worked on RadCom as well as the former D-i-Y Radio and Radio Today magazines, culminating in a period of four and a half years years as Managing Editor of RadCom.
